German taxi branch introduces common booking interface for taxi apps
Reliable customer service anytime and anywhere: Within the framework of the Deutscher Taxi und Mietwagenverband (German Taxi and Car Rental Association) an interlinking data interface for the applications “taxi.eu“, “Taxi Deutschland“ and “cab4me” will be launched in Germany. This technical innovation significantly extends the radius of action of German taxi apps all at once. taxi.eu presents their international taxi service on the Taxi Expo in Amsterdam, hall 3, stand 408.
Experts are speaking of a cross-market booking system. “With this app, we managed to unite over 90 percent of all German cabs electronically. Customers booking a cab through one of our apps will experience a reliable service, no matter where or when,” Hermann Waldner, manager of the taxi.eu application, explains.
Dieter Schlenker, chairman of Taxi Deutschland eG, says: “The electronic interface represents an advanced level of cooperation, ensuring the customer a highly professional service. All drivers working for the associated taxi services are qualified specialists.”
With the new system currently being tested, the technical changes are planned to be implemented to the electronic dispatch systems at the beginning of next year. The apps taxi.eu, Taxi Deutschland and cab4me can be downloaded on smartphones from the app markets of Apple and Android. German taxi fares are calculated strictly in accordance with legal tariff regulations.
taxi.eu is presenting their own brand at the international taxi fair in Amsterdam. The Taxi Expo takes place from 25th – 26th of October.
